Reflecting on our mission of hope and healing reminds me of Divine Love’s boundless beauty and profound mystery. Genesis Spiritual Life Center’s sacred space beckons us to embrace our calling to embody love for others. It echoes the eternal dance of compassion and connection that weaves through the tapestry of human experience.
In my youth, one song often filled our home. The song Wherever You Go by the Monks of Western Priory was a constant companion on our record player. The lyrics capture the devotion between individuals, much like Ruth’s unwavering commitment to Naomi in the Book of Ruth. But it was the spoken interlude in the song that captivated me most. Recently listening to it again, I was struck by how deeply its message is interwoven into my being. It underscores the importance of love in the human experience.
These moving words have resonated with me for so long:
I want to say something to all of you who have become a part of the fabric of my life. The color and texture which you have brought into my being have become a song, and I want to sing it forever.
There is an energy in us which makes things happen when the paths of other persons touch ours and we have to be there and let it happen.
When the time of our particular sunset comes our thing, our accomplishment, won’t really matter a great deal. But the clarity and care with which we have loved others will speak with vitality of the great gift of life we have been for each other.
May the gift of love and the presence of Divine Mystery in your life continue to unfold in ways that astonish and inspire. May they illuminate your path with boundless grace and wonder.
Peace,
