Many circumstances can make a woman aware of the aging process: empty nest syndrome, menopause, the loss of parents, retirement, the death of friends and spouses, the onset of aches and pains and physical limitations, and increased sensitivity. Living in a culture that values youth, success, and physicality, we are continually challenged to find new ways of feeling relevant in changed circumstances when we age and lose our external means of defining who and what we are. This extended weekend retreat for women of all ages and stages provides the means for us to do just that. Through presentations, sharing, rituals, and music, it will enable participants to move into a more profound acceptance of what is and a greater compassion for self and others. The retreat will help us redefine our perception of growing older as we deepen our spiritual understanding and connection and realize that we always have more to offer and enjoy.
