Margaret Galiardi, OPMargaret Galiardi, OP, is a trained spiritual director and author whose ministries have included parish work, teaching, and working with homeless persons. She has lectured nationally on ecological theology and spirituality, the “new Story and the Christian Story”, and the work of Thomas berry. With the Institute for Communal Contemplation, she has co-created a program for young adults on the impact of contemplation as a transformational force in their lives.

Lisa IrishLisa Irish, MEd, MA, BCC is a spiritual director with experience in hospital chaplaincy and retreat leadership. 6-Day Silent Directed Retreat

Come away for a Silent Directed Retreat, designed to give you time and space for prayer and solitude. A retreat at Genesis, with its peaceful, contemplative spaces and 19-acre Providence Arboretum, will open your heart to do the profoundly personal work of living and breathing into your spiritual journey and feeling the presence and action of God in your life.
During your stay, you will meet with a spiritual director once a day, who may make suggestions for further reflection. This could occur through prayer, Scripture, poetry, imagery, time in nature, and other modalities.
After you register, you will receive a questionnaire to fill out and submit before the start of the retreat. The questionnaire is designed to help you provide helpful information for your spiritual director.
Check-in begins at 4:00pm and supper will be served at 6:00pm. The retreat will begin after supper. Silence will begin at that time also. The retreat will end with breakfast at 8:00am on the final day.
