Humbly We Walk Here

Home is where the heart finds its true sanctuary. It is a space defined not just by walls, but by love, emotional connections, and the warmth of being surrounded by what matters most. As I pause to reflect on the peace and serenity that envelops this beautiful place, it feels fitting to honor those who came before us – those who also called this land home. Their stories and spirits linger in the air, reminding us of the rich tapestry of life that has woven itself into the very fabric of our surroundings. Let us take a moment to acknowledge their legacy and the profound connection to creation that they embodied.

We acknowledge that Genesis Spiritual Life and Conference Center is located on the ancestral lands of the Pocomtuc Nation, specifically the Woronoco community. The Pocomtuc, an Algonquian-speaking people, stewarded this land for generations before European colonization, cultivating crops and relying on the abundant natural resources of this place. Their deep connection to the land shaped their way of life. By honoring the Pocomtuc’s history and resilience, we recognize their enduring presence and connection to this land.

We are committed to fostering respect and meaningful relationships with all people and supporting ongoing efforts to protect and preserve cultural heritage, and the environment.

Let us take a moment to pause and reflect.

Humbly we walk here

Humbly we pray here

Humbly we bless this land

Humbly and with gratitude

Remembering the ancestors who walked this land.1

Peace,
