Lenten Simple Supper Series: The Liminality of Lent: Embracing the Space Between
With Colleen Mollica
April 1, 2025
In early spring, traces of winter still linger, yet signs of spring are also beginning to appear. It is an ambivalent time. We wait patiently for spring to emerge fully, just as we anticipate the Resurrection. As we wait for the joy of Easter, nature models patience and acceptance. She accompanies us and comforts us during this in-between time; as we lament ecological loss, we also trust that new life will emerge. This liminal space invites us to sit with our grief and hold space, knowing that there is a promise of renewal and new life. We are invited to embrace the rhythms of death and new life in both nature and in Lent through prayer, nature meditation, journaling and sharing.
Our program begins with a simple supper at 6:00 followed by a workshop until 8:00.
