The Sacred Art of Grieving: Finding Hope in the Land of Loss

Saturday – Sunday, October 7 – 8 , 2023.

Beginning with lunch at noon on Saturday and ending on Sunday after lunch at 1pm.

Facilitated by: Lisa Irish

We have learned that loss weaves its way through our lives in many forms, in our personal story and in our shared lives.  Some losses are acknowledged, many are not. Grief, our companion and ally, guides both our personal and collective journeys in the Land of Loss, and leads us toward healing and hope. This overnight retreat will create sacred space and nourish tender pathways toward healing and hope.

Lisa Irish, MEd, MA, BCC, Spiritual Director and retreat leader, combines hospital chaplaincy and bereavement ministry to offer compassionate understandings of loss, grief and healing. Of her book, “Grieving – the Sacred Art: Hope in the Land of Loss,” Fr Richard Rohr says, “…the roadmap is wise, but sensitive – grounded in hope – and reminds us to rest in God’s healing love.”
