Donna O'ConnorDonna O’Connor completed the Spiritual Direction Internship Program in Bloomfield, CT in 2006. She has focused her 1:1 work entirely at Genesis since that time. Having taught fitness/yoga classes for over thirty years now, Donna has a particular interest in helping people who struggle with weight, body image and disordered eating, and is experienced in 12-Step Spirituality.

Biospiritual Focusing Book Study and Practicum

Join the Biospiritual Focusing Team for this 10-week book study and practicum exploring Fr. Peter A. Campbell, Ph.D., and Fr. Edwin M. McMahon, Ph.D.’s book entitled, Rediscovering the Lost Body-Connection Within Christian Spirituality. Each evening will highlight key topics of specific chapters and include a group discussion on these topics and chapters. Also, we will offer actual focusing sessions led by experienced companions. Over the course of this study, you will become more aware of the sacred story you carry in your own body and the movement of grace in your life.
Prerequisite: Basic familiarity with BioSpiritual Focusing is necessary and prior participation in a BioSpiritual Focusing: Day of Presence or multi-day Retreat is recommended.
You will also need to have a copy of Rediscovering the Lost Body-Connection Within Christian Spirituality.
This program will meet weekly via Zoom from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm beginning on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 and concluding on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. The sessions will be recorded and distributed after each meeting.
