Journal Writing as a Spiritual and Creative Practice
Friday – Sunday, November 10 – 12. 6pm – 10am
Facilitated by: Peg Considine
The old French word for journal is journee meaning “day” or “a day’s journey”. Experiencing the journey of life in daily increments through journal entries of written and visual expression can deepen our connection to ourselves. Placing the thoughts ruminating in the mind down on paper and expressing feelings through an intuitive use of art materials can be illuminating and liberate the spirit. On this weekend we will gather to practice journal writing that includes a creative element in ways that work best for each of us. We’ll explore through writing prompts, group sharing, individual time and art technique demonstrations. An abundance of art supplies, except for journals, are provided. Bring your favorites along, too! No artistic experience is needed! The focus is on the process.
