Mindfulness Meditation Group of WestfieldAre you encountering elevated stress, an illness and/or pain and wish to become more resilient in the midst of the difficulties you’re facing? The practice of mindfulness is a way of intentionally stepping out of one’s doing mode and into the realm of being more fully in the present moment on purpose and non-judgmentally. Scientific research indicates mindful practices reduce stress, increase resilience and promote immune function among other benefits. This secular and free mindfulness meditation group meets bi-weekly at the Genesis Center on alternate Thursdays from 7-8:30 PM. It is open to new and long-time meditators alike. Our usual format includes a mix of guided and silent practice, mindful movement and discussion. Led by John Meiklejohn and Glen Ebisch. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
