October 13-15, Friday supper to Sunday lunch
In this retreat we will explore the connection between meditation and photography. You will learn techniques to bring mindfulness and awareness into your photography practice, as well as ways to more fully express yourself, your senses and your feelings in the images you make. Reflective focus practices using your eye and your camera will build your image-making skills, while showing you the value of “seeing through quiet eyes”. In addition, you will learn to create a simple, Zen-like book as a container for the “Meditative Moments” you experience in your image-making. Suitable for all levels and all cameras, including iPhone camera.
Begins Friday with supper at 6:00pm and concludes with lunch at noon on Sunday. Fee: Resident with private room, $295; Semi-private room, $270; Commuter with meals, $210; Commuter without meals, $175. Deposit $100. Balance due 14 days prior to start of program.
