A sandbox and a collection of miniature objects and figurines support a unique experience of creative play and self-exploration. Sandplay facilitates the psyche’s natural capacity for healing and can open a personal dialogue with the soul. A brief history of Sandplay, its development, and relationship to the work of Carl Jung will be discussed. Participants will select a group of objects from the collection and tell a story in their sandbox. The workshop assists the participants to make meaning out of the symbols they have chosen to tell their story. Finally, we will take photos of the sandbox stories so that participants can continue to learn from their story, beyond this workshop. Participants are asked to bring their own camera, if possible. Class size is limited to 8 participants.
1:30 – 4:00pm Fee: $35. Pre-registration is required.
