From darkness into light…we invite you to discover the transforming face of Divine Love. As we welcome the New Year, may our desire for inner and societal peace be ignited through input, prayers, silence, poetry and seasonal music. Once again, or for the first time, join us during this holy and traditional time at Genesis.
A Silent Directed Retreat is designed to provide time and space for prayer and solitude. There will be opportunity to meet daily with a spiritual director, thus providing time to reflect on your spiritual journey and the presence and action of God in your life. A Silent BioSpiritual Focusing Directed Retreat is about presence to self, others and God, and will guide you to the deepest levels of awareness inside your body.
Join us as you learn a touch of Celtic knot work as well as patterned ornamentation to add to the age old art of making Illuminated Letters, much as the ancient monks of Ireland and Scotland did, but with a modern twist. While the art of illuminated manuscripts and lettering is much older than the Celts, we'll be applying a bit of this style of knot work and pattern to large letters using pen, ink and paint.
Winter is the time for deep rest, for non-doing, a time to restore vital life energy. This Restorative Yoga Retreat comes at just the right time for you to recover from life's busyness and stress. Gentle yoga throughout this winter weekend includes movements, postures, and yogic breathing to bring health and clarity to your body and mind.
Come and feast for an afternoon with this 12th century woman who encountered the Divine in the breezes that nurture all things green and "causes the grasses to laugh with the joy of life." Her life and spirit beckons us to see and hear the heartbeat of God that pulses with energy throughout the entire universe.
Join this circle of Soul Friends as we learn about spiritual practices within the Celtic tradition and their relationship to the Catholic liturgical year, and celebrate the Celtic liturgical calendar through ritual.
In this weekend retreat, you will be invited to spend time with key transitional moments in your life experience and see them through the eyes of the wilderness metaphor. Journey through the three stages of entering, dwelling, and departing the wilderness by reflecting upon key texts across several spiritual traditions.
