“The practice of biospiritual focusing has deepened my sense of Spirit within, of God acting in and through me in a way that I have not experienced through reading, studying or discussion.  It truly is a 'felt sense' of a deeper connection with God." - a participant in the book study

A BioSpiritual Focusing retreat is a silent retreat based on the work of Eugene Gendlin, PhD, Peter Campbell, PhD, and the late Edward McMahon, PhD. It will guide you to the deepest levels of awareness inside your body. Your own body's sense of God and grace will give birth to your next step, inviting you to be with this natural unfolding and discernment process.  Accompanied by an experienced Focusing companion, one comes to know, in a bodily sense, the prayer of St. Paul to the Ephesians (3:14): “Out of God's infinite glory, may you be given the power through the Holy Spirit for your hidden self to grow strong.”

Begins with supper on Friday at 6:00pm and concludes with lunch at noon on Sunday. Fee: Resident with private room, $285; Semi-private room $260; Commuter with meals, $210; Commuter without meals, $165.  Deposit $100. Balance due ten days prior to start of program.   PREVIOUS FOCUSING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

Leaders: Ann Horgan, SP, Kathy Irr, Becky Crane, Elizabeth Oleksak, SP

It is the duty of every cultured man or woman to read sympathetically the scriptures of the world. If we are to respect others' religions as we would have them respect our own, a friendly study of the world's religions is a sacred duty.
