Genesis is a special place to us and to our many visitors with several special elements that make it Genesis including:
BookstoreA quaint but excellent resource of books to purchase including musical CDs.
LibraryLocated on the second floor of the Carriage House guests will find a collection of books and magazines on varied topics from eco-spirituality to sustainability and earth courses.
Community GardenWith our strong commitment to the environment, Genesis is happy to offer individual garden plots for rent in our large community garden. We are happy to be able to host this space for growth and cultivation of vegetables and flowers. Community gardening provides health and environmental benefits for each of us as individuals, and nourishes the land which in turn, nourishes the earth. For more information, please contact the office at Genesis.
"Perceived as Creation, nature invites us to turn to the Creator and to take up our responsibility to protect and enhance the natural world as the Garden of both God and humankind." - Charles Cummings, O.C.S.O.
"The universe itself is the primary sacred community. All human religion should be considered as participation in the religious aspect of the universe itself. It is false to say that humanity is the most excellent being in the universe. The most excellent being in the universe is the universe itself." —Thomas Berry
