Solace for Grandparents Who Are Raising Grandchildren:  The role of grandparents, to enjoy grandchildren when they visit, to help with babysitting and to send grandchildren home at the end of the day has changed for all too many grandparents.  Due to addiction, death in the family, incarceration or children gone missing, grandparents have become primary parents for their grandchildren.  Genesis is offering a four week series to include: techniques for inner quieting; education on addiction; development of coping skills; and processing  grief and loss issues.  This program offers the intention of bringing solace, comfort, self-compassion and spirituality to the task of child rearing under challenging and difficult circumstances.

The Healing Hearts Program will be held at Genesis on four consecutive Tuesdays beginning October 2, 2018 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.  Childcare will be provided.  Please let us know the names and ages of children who need childcare when you call to register.

Donations for attendance are accepted.  Pre-registration is required; please call the Genesis office at 413-562-3627.
